Guest Post: Singing Three Little Birds

Hi! I'm Julie. I'm honored to be "along for the ride" with Laura.  I have a little blog called Singing Three Little Birds and I would love for you to come by and visit me. If you were wondering why I named my blog Singing Three Little Birds you can read about it here.

A little about me.  When I'm not working as a full time children's librarian and mothering my two little ones, I'm crafting. Here are a few of my favorite projects:

I enjoy making jewelry especially out of fabric and old t-shirts.  I love how they can be pulled and pulled on by my kids and they won't break!

I am also learning to sew using my grandmother's old sewing machine and I got a brand new sewing machine for Mother's Day.  It's been quite an adventure so far and I've been able to make a few things.  I am most proud of my daughter's Easter dress.

Isn't she darling! I loved being able to say, "I made it!" whenever anyone said how cute she looked!

I have a little bit of an obsession with fabric flowers and I put them on everything I can think of.  Recently I made made one into a pin for my favorite jean jacket.  Here's what I did.

Gather your materials:

A Flower you've already made!
Felt
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
A Pin.

Cut two circles of felt.

Glue one of the felt circles to the fabric flower.

Lay your pin down and glue the other felt circle on top of the pin to secure.

Pin it to your favorite jacket.  I love it on my jean jacket!

Thanks for having me Laura!
