Happy Halloween

Tonight our small group helped at a local fall fest. Our church had 5 booths and Kyle and I helped run the ping pong game (the kiddies had to thrown 5 ping pong balls into 5 buckets...get one in each and you got a big candy bar!). The kids were adorable...little princesses, super heros, bumble bees, ninjas, cowboys, and lions. The organizers of the festival told us that we are the first church to participate in the 12 years this has been going on in our community. It felt great just loving on people. This is also the first time I've really felt at home in a church, where people know my name and they're excited when I show up. That felt pretty great too.

We left with two potted mums and pockets full of empty candy wrappers.

We spent the rest of the evening sitting around our pastor's kitchen table, eating candy and laughing. We are truly blessed to have found such a loving, warm, Jesus-centered church home.

Oh, and we capped on the night with pumpkin pie blizzards!

Hope you had a wonderful day and a cozy evening.
