There are just so many gorgeous handmade shops out there that I want to start sharing some of my favorites with you. Those shops that catch my eye, make me happy, bring a smile to my face.
Simply, shops that I adore.
I adore everything in Annabelle's shop! It was one of the first shops I added to my favorites when I first found Etsy and I am continually impressed by the by all the colore, whimsy, and creativity that Annabelle comes up with!
Attention anyone in the market to buy me a gift in the year 2011. This is my favorite handmade item on Etsy. I just love, love, love it.
Here some of my other favorites.
Interview with Annabelle:
What is the story behind your shop name?
I grew up in Brittany, in France. Every year the whole family would meet up at my grandparent's farmhouse to make cider. All the grandchildren, mums and Meme would collect the apples from the orchard, while the dads and Pepe busied themselves around the cider press. Three Red Apples is a little reminder of those days, growing up in the Breton countryside.
What inspires you to create?
It can be anything, an object, a place, some fabric, a feeling, a memory, an aspiration, humour, people...I have to be in a positive mood to feel creative - or is it that creating puts me in a positive mood? I think the two take it in turn like two polite old friends.
What can be found in your shop?
Mostly little pieces of wall art - hoops and canvases, but I also make bags, accessories, and quilts.
What is one word to describe your work?
So after that interview I not only want to own everything in her shop, but I want to be her friend!
*Note that although her shop is open, Annabelle will be away this week. Her shipping info is listed in her announcements.
