Shops I Adore: BigSis LilSis Boutique

There are just so many gorgeous handmade shops out there that I want to start sharing some of my favorites with you. Those shops that catch my eye, make me happy, bring a smile to my face.

When I first stumbled across BigSis LilSis Boutique, I knew I just had to own one their gorgeous bags.

And now I'm the proud owner of this gorgeous makeup bag!!

I just love it. I am so impressed with the quality and size of the bag. The tabs make it easy to zip open and close, and it's large enough to fit my makeup collection!

Eric was sweet enough to throw in a smaller bag as well.

It fits perfectly in my purse for all those necessities.

Besides these beautiful bags, Erica also makes adorable onesies/burp cloth sets for the classiest of babies.

What's the story behind your shop name?

When I was 11, my best friend and I were always asked if we were sisters. Since neither of us had a "real" sister, we decided to be each other's "BigSis(her) and LilSis(me)"

To this day, we still get asked if we are sisters when we are together!!

Fast forward a bit, to when I found out baby #2 was a girl, when I started blogging and then decided to open my etsy shop. It was no brainer that the name was going to be "BigSis LilSis"! It has such a strong sentiment to me and now having little girls of my own that get to be "real" sisters, it takes on a whole new sentiment. 

What inspires you to create?

It definitely started when I had my first daughter! I began making hair bows for her and then I decided I wanted to learn to sew. After that, I found the blogging world and was instantly sucked in, spending countless hours searching for tutorials on how to make this or that and the rest is history. The makeup bags which I am really having fun with now were inspired by a friend who gave me a mini version for my birthday last year! Now everywhere I go, my brain is always turning and being inspired to make new things :)

What can be found in your shop?

Right now I have items for women and children, my makeup bags are the majority of my shop, but I also started making hooded bath towels, appliquéd onesies, burp cloths, nursing covers and something that I am considering to add soon is my car seat canopy. And of course there are always new things in the works ;)

What is one word to describe your work?

LOVE!! I am loving what I am doing and I hope that everyone else is loving them too!!
