Yesterday I opened my email to find this.
The image of the ocean just kept coming to mind. The vastness of it all. The unfathomable depths. The immeasurable volume.
That's God's love for us.
It's too big too measure.
Too wide for us to too all of it at once.
Too long for us to see an end.
I crawled into bed with just enough strength to read a few verses. I opened up my bible and started to read at the part I left off.
"And may you have the power to understand,
as all God's people should,
how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is."
I love you too, God.

ReplyDeletei think the vastness of the ocean is unnerving. i think that's what makes me fear the Lord...His absoluteness...His infinity...His ever after.
