Lately, I've been finding God in work.
Lots and lots of work.
This is the time of year where my job really picks up. I'm in professional staff training right now. Our student staff (RAs) move in early August. Then a week later our residence halls are filled once again with bright-eyed freshmen waiting to be welcomed to their new "home."
I've spent a lot of time lately thinking about God's provision and how He has immensely blessed Kyle and I. A benefit of my job is that we live in the residence hall for free. We recently moved to a new hall and a brand new apartment. It's more than we could have ever imagined (or afforded on our own).
God provides in such big ways.
So as I sift through emails and piles of paper, I am finding God in my work. I truly believe He has called me into my current job and that He guides my work with students every day.

I would love to hear where you find God...in fact, I'd love it if you were a guest here on an upcoming Tuesday! Interested? Email me at iamalongfortheride[@]gmail[.]com.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
Sounds like a fun job...I'm sure it's a lot of work, too! But think of all the lives Christ can touch through you! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower of yours. It's been fun getting to know you a little bit on your blog.
I would love to try my hand at guest posting, but I'm not sure I have what it takes. It seems a little intimidating! :0)
Your job sounds really awesome! It's true though that God blesses us in ways we never thought possible!!
ReplyDeleteI loved my Resident Directors when I was in college! Bless you for being there for these young adults in their time of learning themselves and who God is to them! I would love to guest post sometime! I think I'm going to email you right now :)
ReplyDeleteLove that you have found your calling through Him, I too was called to help young girls, that's why I started my website Project Inspired as a place where young girls can find positive, Christian role models. Hope you'll share it with your new students!
