I've been reading that today is "un-lurk yourself" day. The day where we say a big 'ole "hello" on the blogs that we love.
So in the spirit of the, err, holiday, I'd love to hear from you!
Feel free to leave a comment saying hello, who you are, where you're from, what have you!
And because I always tell my students I would never ask them to do anything I wouldn't do, here I am!
I'm Laura!
I live in Missouri.
I used to have long hair like this.
My mom's battle with breast cancer inspired me to donate it. Now I have hair like this.
My mom is all better now. Now we both have cute, short hair cuts!
Well, go on, say hi!
I don't really lurk! But I LOVE your haircut!! Super cute! :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings friend!
I love that hair and of course as a survivor myself and having two of my three daughters cutting their hair to donate I LOVE you!
ReplyDeletehaha This is great!
ReplyDeleteYour hair is super cute short! I'm so glad your Mom is better.
Hello,
I'm Sarah.
I'm a simple creative gal that is described by those closest to her as "a mixture of an old soul and a child at heart".
I'm in bed with a very unpleasant cold today.
Your post made me smile.
Thanks Sarah!! I hope you feel better soon!
DeleteI'm not a lurked per se since I've commented before, but I'll gladly say hi! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you did! Hope you're having a great Monday!
DeleteLurker. Oops :)
ReplyDeleteYou totally rock the short hair.
ReplyDeleteHi I'm the gal with the weird stomach issue for the past 3 years lol
I'm just now getting back into creating for my shop again and it's got me excited!
Aww thanks! My stomach's been a bit better lately- hope yours has too. Will you send me the link to your shop? I want to see!
DeleteT-totally excited to share a tidbit about my quirky self. An admirer of Ms. Laura...such a cutie pie you are. I'm a worrier. Even though I don't like it and am working on it...I still worry too much. I think living in SC without family and caring for twin girls may be the cause. I don't know. Sweet luvins to all my fellow lurkers or nons.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh you're so sweet!
DeleteI worry too. A lot. Praying for you friend!
I'm unlurking! I have really been enjoying the Journaling Through January series. It has given be a lot to think about and pray on. Thank you!

Oh yay! I'm so glad you're journaling along!
DeleteThis is the first I have heard about un-lerking, but I believe you :) I am Veronica, I live in Chicago (well not IN Chicago, a suburb of...) and I wish I was brave enough to cut my hair short like yours! I think it is so cute! I have grown out and donated my hair several times in my life...it is getting pretty long again, maybe this year I will go super short :)
ReplyDeleteI had never heard about it either- but it's fun though! That's awesome you've donated your hair so many times! I love my short hair (although at least once a day I think about growing it long again).
DeleteTHanks Laura!
DeleteI do pop in here {I should more often!} but here I am saying Hi today! Love that you donated your hair. My mom passed away from breast cancer in 2010. Love your cute short hair!
ReplyDeleteSarah...in Charleston, SC!!
I'm glad you popped in! Thanks for the sweet compliment.
DeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope to donate my hair again, but I'm not looking forward to growing it out!
Your hair is super cute! My daughter donated 10 inches to locks of love 2 years ago...such a bad haircut though so it made for a bad experience. She's been growing it out ever since. Anyway, I'm Rachel, I have a little blog called Holy Craft and I love reading along with you. I have three kids and a dog and have been married to my college sweetheart for nearly 14 years (he's going to start doing a guest post on my blog which I am totally looking forward to). We teach Sunday school together and I spend my days volunteering in the kids school and trying to keep myself out of trouble by being crafty.
ReplyDeleteSo hello to you!

Oh no! I had a bad haircut in junior high and there's really nothing worse!
DeleteI love it- you keep out of trouble by crafting!! Thanks for stopping by!
Not really a lurker, but I'll play along!
ReplyDeleteI'm Heather Irene and I live in Central Florida. I'm a musician and our church's administrative assistant. I've been married to my wonderful husband Ben for 2 1/2 years and we have a sweet little beagle named Holly.
Thanks for all of your encouraging posts, Laura!
I love the name Holly! We definitely like our doggie and kitty kids here! Thanks for stopping by Heather!
DeleteI'm not a lurker either but since I read all your posts I'll play too.
ReplyDeleteI'm Kathleen, married 30 years this April. Mom to 3, mother in love to 1.
Owner of 2 dogs and 2 cats.
I live in Maryland, born in New York.
I'm 51 and started going to college last semester.
I love Jesus!
Blessings, Alwayssewlove
Oh my gosh Kathleen, that's wonderful! I hope you had a great first semester!! Thanks for reading my blog, it makes my heart so full!
DeleteHi Laura! I'm Madeline, a "new-ish" blogger who is into photography. :) I'm eighteen and I live in New England. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Madeline. I love that you're doing the 365 project. I admire that- I would stop after day 2!
DeleteI didn't know there was such a thing as Un-Lurk Yourself Day. Cool! Um... I'm Naomi and I live in MO too!! But I think we've covered that on Twitter. Does that mean I'm not a lurker? I'm not sure...
ReplyDeleteI didn't either- but it's fun, though! I think "lurker" is in the eye of the beholder. I would consider us bloggy friends, but that's just me :)
DeleteI read about this day on another blog too. I think it's hilarious! I've cut my hair for Locks of Love before, and am hoping I'm on my way to ten inches again. I'm 7.5 months pregnant and, for whatever reason, decided not to cut my hair til the baby comes. I might have to wait a little longer to have enough to donate, but I think I'm gonna go for it! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm excited that you're going to donate your hair...and that you are so close to meeting your little one. I hope you are feeling well and that you enjoy these last few weeks.
DeleteI'm not a lurker as I've been reading and commenting on your blog for a good while but as I've not commented for ages I thought I'd say hi! I did wonder how your mum was getting on so it's fantastic to hear she's all better now. And I think your hair is great. You're one of those lucky people who can rock both long and short hair.
ReplyDeleteYou've been such a loyal friend of my blog! Thank you!! And thanks for the sweet compliment!
Deletehow cool! glad to hear your mom was able to fight it. crazy how different you look with short hair. it's super cute on you.
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Megan! I know, after posting those pictures next to each other, it was pretty shocking.

ReplyDeleteIt'd be lovely if you stopped by my blog and said hello! :)
xo,

Hi Amanda! Thanks so much for stopping by :)
DeleteYour hair looks gorgeous long and short! I'm so glad to hear that your mom is doing so well! :)
ReplyDeleteAww thanks! Yup, she's doing great...and slowly growing back her hair too!
DeleteHi, I'm Felicity. I love your blog! It has tons of scripture and inspires me to be in the Word more often!
ReplyDeleteHi Felicity! That really means a lot to me. Thanks for much for introducing yourself!
DeleteJust leaving another little comment to let you know I'm super exited about the giveaway over on Mine for the Making!
ReplyDeleteHi I'm Rebecca.
