- I am head-over-heels in love with Babies Ruin Bodies from we seek joy (truth be told, I really love her whole blog).

Every limb, finger, toe...her heart, even, developed near the very place my own heart beats inside of my chest. Those mountains of skin are all I have left to prove that we were once one and not two. How can I be ashamed of that?
- Some great thoughts on being busy from Ty Ward.
Being busy used to make me feel important. It made me feel like the world needed me, like somehow I was more valuable or valid when busy. Perhaps that’s why I wore it like a badge and quickly resorted to it when people asked how life was. Yet in all reality, busyness was just another addiction I clung to so I could avoid things that made me uncomfortable.Sadly, the things I often stayed busy to avoid happened to be some of the more worth while things in life.
- One of my favorite bloggers, Kim from the Newlywoodwards, took the words right out of my mouth. She's going against the norm of rampant commercialism and trying to live more simply.
It’s not that I can never buy anything again. It’s that this year, I want to change my focus on what matters. And that’s not anything I can buy at Target. I’m looking for ways to fight the norm (and I’m defining the norm as mass consumerism, by the way).
- I absolutely love Living Well Spending Less. Ruth had a great post this week about getting your budget back in order after the holidays.
If your budget seems to be spiraling out of control, then it is time to crack down and find out exactly where your money is going, then make a plan and set a budget for going forward.
I'd love to know: read anything good on the web lately?

  1. Thank you so much for the shout out. I love this idea for a blog post - there are so many snippets of inspiration on the web and I love how you captured some of them here. Now, it's time to find me some new blogs to read. These look right up my alley.

And the quote about busy-ness. Whoa. Hit me square in the heart.
