Paper Flower Tutorial

A few weeks ago I experimented with paper flowers for a bridal shower and really liked the way they turned out.

I wanted to add a bit of color in our kitchen, so I whipped up a few more.

You will need:

scissors
brass tacks
green paper for stems
paper for flower
pencil (for tracing with)
4 different sized circular objects (for tracing around)

I found that computer paper/butcher paper worked best.

Trace and cut out 4 different sized circles for each flower you want to make.

Crinkle them up...

And then flatten them out.

Now for the stem. I used a piece of computer paper and began rolling/folding it hot dog-style.

Keep rolling it until it is as tight as you want it.

Poke a hole in the top of the stem with the tack and then remove it.

Gather four circles (one of each size) and poke the tack through the centers

And then attached it to the stem.

Super easy! I made a bunch for our dining room table.

I love the summery pop of the yellow flowers!

So much fun for me...and for Jupiter!

  1. BEAUTIFUL- I made something almost exactly like these in elementary school. These bring back memories of carefree simple times and they're gorgeous too. Ah, to go back to being innocent, carefree, and lost in a creative task...

    I need some crafting!
