31 Days of [Finding] Balance

I stumbled upon the "31 days" challenge over at The Nester like 31 minutes ago and have been going back and forth.

Would I be up for a challenge?
Do I have the time?
What would I write about?
When would I find the time to write?
How can I use this to grow?
October is the busiest month on the planet for me....
there is simply not enough minutes in the day...are there?

A few things became clear while I was arguing with myself.

1. I am busy.
2. October is so busy that it's a bit scary at the moment (as we are about an hour and 17 minutes in central standard).
3. I don't have enough time to do required things (like complete tasks at my job and eat and stuff)
4. Something's gotta give.

So for 31 days I'm going to do everything I can to find balance- not become balanced [big difference]. I'm not out to find some inner peace and tranquility, nor am I trying to promote a lifestyle shift of massive proportions.

I am simply going to try my harest to find one tiny thing in each of my next 31 days that shines a glimmer of equilibrial light. Maybe it's eating dinner that takes more than 3 minutes to prepare [and doesn't include an option to make it a combo]. Maybe it's me sitting down and intentionally thinking about something other than work for a whole 5 minutes.

Whatever it is, I'm going to find it. Or at least spend 31 days trying.

Wish me luck!

  3. Hi Laura - we'll get through this challenge together - I am in the same boat as you. But go look on my blog. There is a separate page and it's called balance - it's a great visual. Feel free to use.
